Bioreliance

Bioreliance provides testing and manufacturing services to pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies that span the product cycle from early pre-clinical development to licensed production. These services include genetic toxicology testing, ADME/tox services, mammalian toxicology testing, and more. However, BioReliance is limited to standard models, they have no in-house no gene editing capabilities for cell lines or animal models, and lack the novel genetically modified in-vitro and rat models which improved toxicology that Hera Biolabs has developed.

Bioreliance provides traditional toxicity testing services including genetic toxicology services for the detection of toxic, mutagenic, clastogenic and morphological transforming activity in a number of test systems. They provide genetic toxicology resources and services (Gene Tox) can identify genotoxic agents to humans. Along with Gene Tox, BioReliance offers AMDE/tox services in-vitro assays. Among these, offered by BioReliance, include human cell-based assays that utilize Caco-2 cells, the metabolically active HepaRG® liver cell line. BioReliance also uses the HepaRG® cell line for studies including Cyp induction, nuclear receptor interactions, and hepatic and microsomal stability. Hera BioLabs, also utilizes the HepaRG® cell line in Precision Toxicology™ model creation and services. These use the metabolically active HepaRG® liver cell line also offers transporter services utilizing Vesicular Membranes from SOLVO Biotechnology. BioReliance also offer services in mammalian toxicology testing that includes carcinogenicity studies.

At BioRelilance, they refer to biomanufacturings as the production, isolation, and purification of biological products for therapeutic development. BioReliance specializes in biomanufacturing and provide the highest quality cGMP therapeutics.  Biomanufacturing Services at BioReliance consists of creating master cell banks, working cell banks, virus banks, and vaccine manufacturing. Hera Biolabs does not offer these as a service. BioReliance is also provider of contract services to the biopharmaceutical industry, supporting every phase of the testing, development and manufacturing.  The customers for these services include traditional pharmaceuticals, medical devices, chemicals and other products, as well as biopharmaceuticals. BioReliance offers, cell line/virus bank characterizations, raw material testing analytical services for biologics, and immunoassays.
